WHAT HAPPENED?
During Liverpool's 4-2 win over Bournemouth last Friday, Semenyo complained to the referee that he had been racially abused by a fan. Days on from the incident, The Times state that the Cherries plan to bring in a PFA representative this week to support the 25-year-old; offering confidential assistance and more.

Soon after this occurred, a 47-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence. Since then, he has been banned from every football stadium in the UK. The authorities will hope this will send a message that this behaviour is completely unacceptable and a strong deterrent.

The report adds that the stadium ban is part of the man's bail conditions, which also includes "not to go within one mile" of a designated football ground. Semenyo is said to be "ok" after the Anfield incident.
